Stuart L. Fischman, D.M.D.
Stuart L. Fischman, D. M. D., is Professor Emeritus of Oral Diagnostic
Sciences at the School of Dental Medicine of the State University
of New York at Buffalo. He has retired as Director of Dentistry
at the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, but continues to coordinate
the oral health care program for the AIDS Designated Center.
He received his D.M.D. degree, cum laude, from the Harvard School
of Dental Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American Boards of
Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine. Dr. Fischman has held academic
appointments in Paraguay, Peru, Bolivia, Puerto Rico and Israel.
He is a recipient of the Linda Laubenstein Clinical Excellence Award
from the N. Y. State AIDS Institute. In 2000, he received the Distinguished
Faculty Award from the Organization of Teachers of Oral Diagnosis.
